Whoooooo's Invited on a Hayride?????

One of my dearest friends called me and ask if I was up to the challenge of creating a simple but cute Invite to their "grade level" hayride. My response ~ "Of Course", anything Christmas thrills me! Tammy is the sweetest friend, always calling me and giving me the job of creating invites, labels, etc. The funny thing is, she always waits until the day before she is sending them out to call me! I think I may work better that way and she knows it!
If you need a Christmas, Birthday or any type of computer work..... LET ME KNOW!
I love sitting and creating!

My wonderful son, Chase the photographer, shot Whit and JD's engagement pictures yesterday! I think he really captured their inner beauty through these pictures.
I am so blessed to have a son who is so willing to do ANYTHING I ask.

Christmas Trees, Hymnals, Jewelry and Bobbins.....

I am having a little fun in the studio creating Christmas Trees! I have played around with the trees creating all different colors and then putting German glass glitter and old jewelry around them. It's so fun coming up with something new!

What's you first decoration to pull out?

I know the Christmas Spirit is in the air when these little fellas come out! These little guys are the first ones to adorn my house! We purchased them on a trip with our children to the Epcot Center. I don't know what is so special about them.... they just make me feel festive and ready to decorate. And don't you just love the skinny trees from Dept. 56? So much fun!
What is the first decoration in your home to be pulled out?

A Christmas Carol.... WONDERFUL!!!

Reid and I went to see one of our favorite Christmas movies today.... A Christmas Carol! As we walked in, we had a choice~ Regular movie, digital movie or the IMAX 3D movie! We bit the $15.00 each bullet and with a childlike anticipation sat down in the "overkill" theater. With a screen that big we had no earthly idea what we were getting our self's into. As the movie started we realized quickly we had to place the 3D glasses on. All of the previews were also 3D, so that got our attention on which movie would be next IF we enjoyed this one in 3D IMAX! (By the way that next movie would be and will be Johnny Depp's Alice in Wonderland)
Anyways and anyhow, the movie started quickly with a close up of Scrooge's face! You could see every wrinkle, acne scar and wild hair on his face! Gruesome.... We quickly went into the Christmas Carol with all of the spirits haunting Scrooge. At the end of the movie I felt like I had only been sitting there for about thirty minutes! It kept me so entertained and a little jumpy at times (maybe a couple of parts may be a little gruesome for kids but I still think they would like it) with the ghost coming in and out!
I loved this movie and hope to take my MOM to see it soon! A great Christmas movie that makes you feel GREAT as you leave!!!!

Brag Day on my Son!!!

I know all MOM's love their son's and think they are absolutely the greatest, but my son has this incredible knack of just melting my heart just when I need to see the goodness in people! Chase, my son, always puts others before him. I think that it is a trait that he inherited from my Daddy. Chase is one of those people that we would describe as the person that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

The one thing that I have really admired about Chase was the love he has for his little sister, Whitney. I have ALWAYS trusted Chase to make the best decisions for Whitney when her daddy and I were not around. He's that parent type.

I guess you are wondering why I am taking today to "brag"...... Well Whitney needed a guest speaker for one of her classes at Auburn University....... Chase lovingly was there when she needed him. Even though Chase's degree is in Biology, he is a genius when it comes to computer stuff. That's what she needed and he was there. She was so excited after class, calling us and telling us that her group received 65 out of 50 points. (15 extra because it was so good)

The next day she called and she had her report from her professor that said Chase should consider becoming a professor himself. Chase is a great teacher because he wants to share his best with everyone.

I am so proud of my son..... Would it not be great if everyone morning we woke up and gave God our best, serving and loving others? Would our world be different if we desired to live the life that was given to us as an example to live, that of Jesus Christ? What if we just took a few minutes each day to do something special for someone else? Could we see love and joy spread?

I know Chase is going to be an incredible husband to Jackie and they will have incredible children if they just keep walking on God's path that He has desired for them!

We had a record high of 180 kids this year, gave out of candy and had to turn out the lights and shut-down! We had so many cute costumes that were made at home! It was a perfect night!
