I spotted these amazing bouquets over at Brenda's Wedding Blog last night and I fell in love with them! They are from Fantasy Floral Designs and each one is created with vintage brooches, so they are definitely one of a kind! They are created by Amanda Heer and the photographs are by Alice Hu. The following bouquet was handmade by Strawberries and Champagne. After her wedding she placed on top of her cake!
She gives these simple instruction to make your own bouquet. The structure is built up with wire. Basically you make sprigs of button and brooch 'flowers' and then intertwine them all together with more wire. A silver or gold wire works best so it blends in with the overall design. I found it easier to place a large brooch in the centre of the bouquet.
This gives you a central point to work from, a central brooch with a slight curve to it lends to a nice 'bouquet' shape.
If you desire to make your own, keep in mind the cost of vintage jewelry. Every once in a while you can find large lots for sale on E-bay, But you will still have a very hefty investment.Last, but not least.... Creations by Jo Barnes! These are so beautiful!! Can you imagine walking down the aisle with one of these!!!! All I have to say is WOW!!!
