Wow... What a CREATIVE Baby Shower.....

It all started with a beautiful invite.....

And for me, it matched Miranda's personality perfect!

Her friends, Kim and Stephanie, in our neighborhood

hosted the shower for Miranda and Olivia!
A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart

and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words!

Before the cake was cut, Miranda was given the most unusual and perfect gift!

This game was SO MUCH FUN!!! Each person was given a card... You then had to match up your card to the hidden card on the board. Once you found yours, you had to guess which candy bar went with it!!! Hilarious!

Example..... Mother's stomach after the baby ~ Jelly Bellies! As each person left, they were given a favor. It was a tea light with a prayer to Olivia!

Meredith's and Emma's Baby Shower...

What a wonderful Saturday morning to have a baby shower! Meredith looked wonderful today as we celebrated the upcoming birth of her baby girl, Emma! After this shower, I can tell you, little Emma is going to be the best dressed little girl in Good Hope, Georgia! We had the best time, but when our family and friends get together we alway do. The only complaint came from Grandma Moon (who will be little Emma's Great-Great Grandma) who said that she thought this was going to be an ol' timey baby shower. My reply was, "Grandma, it is an ol' timey baby shower, we are going to be playing games in a little while." She said that it wasn't because we were not passing all the presents around so that she could feel the gifts. Everyone busted out laughing!!! She is so cute and funny. We love Grandma Moon!!! The Cute Game- Everyone wore a tag around their neck that held a picture of a baby held with a clothespin. If you were caught saying "cute", your baby with the clothespin was stolen. The person with the most babies at the end of the shower won a special prize.Mommy Memory~ This game was played first. Meredith left the room and everyone was given this sheet of paper to fill out. Meredith tricked everyone by only wearing one earring. Points are given out for different things for each question.

Word Search game!!!

We played one other game ~ The Price is Right! We purchased 10 items from Walmart and everyone had to guess the prices of the items. At the end everyone had to guess the total of the bill. Small prizes were given out for each item and a big prize was given out at the end. This game was a blast!

Blogging about Baby Showers has me thinking about my own babies (Chase 24~Liberty University and Whitney 20~Auburn University) and I wanted to share a piece of altered art that I made using some of Chase's toys and some toys that I purchased showing off his personality (The bear at the top because they call him Grizzly Adams)! I hate throwing away "stuff" and I also "feel" like I can use it at some point. Here is a good example! I love this little lamp and every time I look at it I can't help but smile. I hope it goes in his home one day or at least in his child's room! It was really easy to make, it just took time gluing the pieces on (E6000 and blue painters tape to hold them until it was dry). After it was finished, my husband (I break out from head to toe) poured epoxy over the whole project for me! So, save those little toys your children love to play with and make your own keepsake lamp!

The Baby Shower...

I just had to share Meredith's beautiful Baby Shower invitation with everyone!

I purchased the invitation at Hallmark and my friend Casey said all the girls are printing their invitations like this now. They have the main information in just a plain font and the rest in a fancy font. I really could not make up my mind in the store, so I went with what everyone else is doing.

What do you think ~ Do you like the different fonts or not?

Also, I had to add a little bling to it by adding the little jewels to the shoes!

A little hint for making a perfect cut on the ribbon ends~

Use a rotary cutter and small mat! Perfect cut every time!
