If we are the body.....

Orkut Scraps - Religious

With the start to a New Year I hope to carry a heart that is totally centered on Christ. I pray that my sight may find those that are hurting, those that are in need of Christ. I have a favorite song by Casting Crowns ~ If We Are The Body. Each time I hear it, I cry with tears hoping that I am not one to judge or miss someone who so desperately needs HIM. Reid and I have been so blessed, but we know that all our blessings come from HIM. Through all our valleys and trials, our faith has remained strong. God has promised us that HE will never leave us and that through All things HE is with us!

If We Are The Body

It's crowded in worship today As she slips in Trying to fade into the faces. The girls' teasing laughter is carrying farther than they know.

But if we are the Body, Why aren't His arms reaching, Why aren't His hands healing, Why aren't His words teaching, And if we are the Body Why aren't His feet going, Why is His love not showing them there is a way.

A traveler is far away from home. He sheds his coat And quietly sinks into the back row. The weight of their judgmental glances tells him that his chances Are better out on the road.

But if we are the Body, Why aren't His arms reaching, Why aren't His hands healing, Why aren't His words teaching. And if we are the Body Why aren't His feet going, Why is His love not showing them there is a way.

Jesus paid much too high a price For us to pick and choose who should come.

If we are the body Why aren't His arms reaching, Why aren't His hands healing, Why aren't His words teaching. And if we are the body Why aren't His feet going, Why is His love not showing them there is a way.

Jesus is the way

Yes!

There is a song by Brandon Heath that does that for me.

"Give my your eyes for just one second, give me your eyes so I can see, everything that I keep missing, give me your love for humanity, give me your arms for the broken-hearted, the ones that are far beyond my reach, give me your heart for the ones forgotten, give me your eyes so I can see."

His eyes,
His heart,
His love!

Blessings dear friend!

Thanks so much for sharing this. My post today is completely different from this .... but also ask that we be aware of the people around us and their needs.
Hugs and here's to a New Year focused on sharing God's love ....

Thanks for being willing to share your faith and heart with all of us out here in blogland. I'm with you, I want to center my life more on Christ and his teachings this year. Thanks for the inspiration, Yvette, and for not being scared to share your testimony with everyone! That can be so hard to do sometimes, but I'm so glad you do!
